The GACL represents the numerous German-American societies in the Tri-state region of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana in and around the Greater Cincinnati area.
The German-American Citizens League of Greater Cincinnati sponsored the first German-American Heritage Month in the U.S. in 1989 and actively promotes German language instruction as well as the teaching of German-American history in the schools of the area. (Photo: Hauser)
Most recently, the GACL promoted an essay contest in cooperation with the Cincinnati Arts Association.
Your Stammtisch Columnist serves as GACL President and as Curator of the German Heritage Museum and welcomes all readers of the Stammtisch to visit the German Heritage Museum when in the Cincinnati area. And if possible, plan on attending one of its forthcoming lectures.
Yours truly,
Dr. Don Heinrich Tolzmann, Cincinnati
