The Easter Market in front of Schönbrunn Palace is considered one of the most romantic in Europe. Around 40 stands offer delicacies and Easter decorations, while kids are invited to take part in workshops at which they are shown how to bind palm branches.
Easter egg hunts, meanwhile, take place at the palace’s Children’s Museum.
The Freyung Easter Market located in the city center, meanwhile, offers a wide range of food from the special Osterpinze bun to Easter lamb.
Not far from the Freyung market, the Arts and Crafts Market at Am Hof square is also devoted to Easter customs.
Original Austrian handicrafts are on offer there.
Children can ride ponies and a merry-go-round at the traditional Kalvarienberg Lenten Market in Vienna-Hernals.
All four markets will do business until 5 April.
